When I am out and moving in the world I want to be IN that world, not in the cool abstract terrain of screen and email in which I spend my working day and no small part of my indoor private time. Yes, I am THAT curmudgeonly and behind the times. And this is why I use my Old Skool phone as a phone–and keep it in my pocket 99.9% of the time, giving the number only to my wife and friends who know better than to call me on it for something routine.
